Experimenting with Colour and Technique
Every time I start a new post, or enter a room, I want to loudly proclaim, Salams Everyone! 🙂
If you don’t know what that means, Salam means “Peace”. It’s used as a greeting and by Muslims used as an abbreviation for the full greeting, Assalamu alaikum, which means May the Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon you. Lovely way to greet someone isn’t it?
So I might just start my posts that way, and now you will know what it means.
In this post I want to share some “natural” looks that can work during the day or night.
This video encapsulates my current makeup regime.
Things you can add on to change the look created in this video:
1. Add pigment all over your lid (though I find this just makes my eyes look more round – ie, no definition)
2. Add pigment (or a highlighting colour like Shroom) to the inside of your eye (tear duct).
3. Use a bright coloured eyepencil to line the inside of your eyes (not sure how this will look as yet).
4. Create a socket and a wing with either a bright colour or a darker colour (again, this could get messy, but hey, give it a shot)
If using a bright colour, use an eye pencil to draw in the line from socket to edges and then diffuse with shadow.
Let me know how you go 🙂
